“The two greatest experiences of my life were the birth of my son, and giving a kidney to my dad”.

It took her three months to convince her dad to accept this gift. But she knew, the minute she picked up the donation pamphlet at the kidney clinic, she was going to give him her spare kidney no matter what he said.

Kidney disease runs in her father’s family, and she had seen her grandfather suffer for years before he received his transplant – performed by the head of St. Paul’s Hospital 25 years ago.

Becoming a kidney donor changed Krystle’s life in ways she cannot describe.
